Intersections between four phenomenological approaches to the work of art

Jacques Taminiaux

pp. 15-29

This paper discusses four different phenomenological approaches to artwords in Heidegger, Levinas, Arendt, and Husserl. Broad similarities between these approaches are investigated as well as the differences in accent and significance accorded to the philosophical analysis of works of art in relation to perception, truth, and knowledge.
