Theoretical introduction a conceptual framework for the study of transnational movements between Ireland and Palestine/Israel

Marie-Violaine Louvet

pp. 13-21

The theoretical introduction presents the conceptual tools which are used throughout the book to analyse pro-Israel and pro-Palestine transnational movements originating in Ireland. These tools provide explanations for the structure of transnational advocacy networks, the modalities of collective actions and the framing of a cause in activist discourse, with an emphasis on the importance of the notion of ʻjusticeʼ.
