This chapter details and analyses the earliest Irish associations to support Palestine—the Irish-Arab Society (1969) and Irish Friends of Palestine (1981)—and the multiplicity of civil associations supporting Palestine in Ireland today. The discourse and also the modalities of activism have since undergone radical alterations, and these shifts are studied in this chapter.
