The deadline for submissions for the 21th Annual Conference of the International Network for Philosophy and Psychiatry ‘Experts in Mental Health’ is on the 15th of September. The conference will be hosted by Open Seminars in Philosophy and Psychiatry Foundation in Warsaw, 22-24 October 2019.

INPP 2019 is a World Psychiatric Association meeting and is held under the Honorary Patronage of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Poland and Rector of the University of Warsaw.

The invitation to take part in the 21th Annual Conference INPP 2019 is open to researchers, professionals, and persons working and/or interested in the field of mental health, including philosophers, sociologists, historians, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, medical doctors, nurses, etc.

We invite panel proposals, oral presentations as well as posters. 90 minutes panel proposals should include a chair plus a maximum of 3 participants. Oral presentations should not exceed 30 minutes including discussion. For each type of participation please submit an abstract of 200-500 words via the online registration form >>

Workshops and accompanying events will take place in Warsaw and other cities during the conference and for a few days after. Gala and artistic part will be scheduled for the second day of the conference.

The knowledge, skills, and competences of mental health experts are a topic of growing scholarly and public interest worldwide. Particularly intriguing are the questions concerning types of expertise held by mental health professionals, their mutual relations, and their attitude towards patients and families. The goal of the INPP 2019 conference is to influence current theoretical, clinical, social, and political debates on this subject.
