Syntax of intervention in historically significant public open urban spaces

Stefanie Leontiadis

pp. 247-259

This research aims at presenting a methodological way of breaking down syntactic spatial concepts of public open urban space for envisioning architectural interventions that will harmoniously fit into existing historical urban compositions. This takes place through means of branding, using keywords of syntactic expression. These will suggest contemporary ways of composition, perception and representation in reference to existing ones.
