Visuomotor pathologies revisited

Garry Young

pp. 173-182

In Chapter 3, I introduced visual agnosia patient, DF. Recall that as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning, DF's vision was so profoundly impaired that she can no longer experience objects as objects. When looking at objects, she experiences only a mixture of their colours and textures with no recognizable form. Despite this impairment, you will recall how DF has retained a number of specific visuomotor abilities, some of which we discussed.
