Team learning in education and professional organisations

This chapter starts with a short history of team learning. Learning in group has been a research topic for quite some time in education. Studies on problem-based and project-based learning will be overviewed. Different explanations of the effects found will be discussed.In a next part, we will make an overview of recent studies on team learning in different types of teams and organisations. In this overview, it will become clear that team learning works slightly different in different contexts.Finally, conclusions from the presented research will be formulated.
