Phenomenological elucidation

Karl Barth and Emmanuel Levinas

Paul S. Chung

pp. 105-134

This chapter is a study of grounding phenomenological method and inquiry for undergirding critical comparative theology in sociological and hermeneutical frame of reference. Our elucidation focuses upon the commonality-in-difference between two great thinkers, Barth and Levinas, especially regarding their respective critique of Heidegger. This elucidation facilitates grounding our model of critical comparative theology in regard to Clooney and Troetlsch.
