I am pleased and honored to be asked to write about John Wild—to provide some of my recollections of the man and my relationship to him, and to give my reflections on the recently published book edited by Richard Sugarman and Roger Duncan of Wild’s posthumous writings. My essay divides naturally therefore into two parts.
